　　　据美国媒体日前报道，美国51岁男子科克·马克赛是一家拥有300名员工的全球制药公司“凯门化学”公司的首席执行官。他可能是美国最慷慨的精子捐赠者之一，从1980年到1994年，科克每周都要去密歇根州一家不孕诊所捐两次精子。每捐一次，可以获得20美元的报酬，不过科克称，他捐赠精子并不是为了钱，而是为帮助渴望孩子的不孕夫妇。

　　在14年时间中，科克的捐赠精子帮助无数对不孕夫妇实现了生儿育女的梦想。然而当科克多年后不再捐精时，他决定计算一下他的捐赠精子到底已经帮助那些不孕夫妇生下了多少个他的“生物学意义”儿女。一算之后科克吓了一跳，由于他在14年中总共捐赠了大约1456次精子，根据捐赠精子怀孕的成功率，科克相信他通过捐精所生的“生物学儿女”的人数至少多达400人。
