　　不少人认为中药为“纯天然药物”，无毒副作用。其实，不仅有些中药有 毒性，还有致癌性。

　　 中国科学院院士曾毅等人从1992年开始，研究了1693种中草药及植物，结果 发现52种中草药及植物含有促癌物质。如凤仙子、铁海棠、红背桂、假连翘、 射干、青牛胆、怀牛膝、土沉香、芫花、狼毒、巴豆、泽漆、甘遂、鸡尾木、 红雀珊瑚、木油桐、独活、金钱草、苏木、曼陀罗、乌桕等中草药中都含有促 癌物质。千里光，农吉、猪尿豆等含有千里光生物碱，是一种强致癌物。苏铁 中所含的苏铁甙是一种致癌物，可诱发肝、肾癌肿等，槟榔中含有水解槟榔 碱，是一种致癌物质，细辛、桂皮、八角茴香中含有黄樟素，是一种可诱发肝 癌的物质。中药巴豆、砒石、砒霜、甘遂、瑞香、芫花根、狼毒、苏木、三 棱、金果橄等，都有致癌活性。
